ahh to be young
Jun. 1st, 2008 08:18 pmI might have been a bit harsh with my baby cousin today but his positivism pissed me off. I believe in t he law of attraction (though the whole secret thing is getting a little old) but saying cancer happens to people who are too negative made me want to choke him. how many nice, positive people have been victims of this horrible disease? you cannot tell me all of them were grumpy negative people.
It all started because he refuses tu use sunblock, he's a tennis player and should know better, have you seen jimmy connors lately he looks a hundred years old . He said I shouldn't be so negative that if he was positive he wouldn't get skin cancer. I told him then why brush my teeth? If I'm positive nothing will happen to them. and then he said my uncle who died from cancer was too negative and that's why he got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can I strangle the kid, I thank God I'm ot 19 anymore. He never even knew him!!!!!!!!!!!! he said my other uncles said thad the one who died complained a lot. so the logic must be complain like hell and you'll get cancer!!
but what about bad things that happen to good people?
I just like to think that you should help yourself as much as possible, wash your teeth, use sunblock, don't kill people, if you're lucky good things will come your way, if not take the bad things as a learning experience and try as hell to move on.
