It's been a while since i've enjoyed a spn episone and this was definitively enjoyable, i loved it i cried it broke my heart even more. The relationships between the 2 friends and the girl and everything is just leaving me speechless. It's the only episode in recent time i have to watch again.

even more if you compare it to heart and the way they deal with it.

and the music was perfect.  I don't care what anyone else thinks this patticular episode i just loved.

and i want that song, super wiki tells me its What's the matter by Milo Green but i cant find it and that might just make me cry!!!!!!!!!!

elementary

So here are my thoughts on Elementary,

I liked it, I just had to remove myself from BBC’s Sherlock and treat it as just another procedural which let´s face it, I’m a fan of procedurals, even if by now I can almost always say who did it and why. Here are some points:

·       On Watson: it’s not so much that it’s a woman, I love Lucy Liu but when you take the army element out of Watson when it’s such a fundamental part of the character and change the injury he sustained in combat for killing a patient it’s just not comparable and changes the motivations of the character, plus Dana Delany did it better in Body of Proof;  when you make her successful and practically rich you take away that obligation that’s always there for Watson in the books, even though Watson is Sherlock’s’ friend and cares about him at the beginning the money, the lack of it, was a part of the storytelling.

·       On New York: I love New York but it´s sooooo over used on tv, right now it´s Castle and law and order SVU and CSI NY, just 3 right now off the top of my head, so I’m not that excited about yet another procedural show in NY.

·       On Sherlock: I’m a huge fan of Jonny Lee Miller; he’s doing a good job.  I think there’s this trend of quirky characters that started with monk and house and then the guy from the mentalist, perception, to name a few and to me Sherlock is less quirk more intellect and focus and WTF.

·       Jon Michael Hill is awesome can’t say more

So if I concentrate on this not being a take on Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle then I can see myself enjoying it, I  like the writing and the characters so I’ll keep giving it a chance.

I just finished reading Don't you shake alone by dira sudis at AO3  and it blew my mind, it's a generation kill fic and i was amazing, as I said in my comment to the author it made me laughh and cry sometimes at the same time, it's raw and real and a kidfic, since I don't have kids that part seemed real too.

Why did i spend the weekend reading hockey rpf? I don't know a thing about hockey, I have to look for pictures every time a name comes up and after the weekend is over i decide to look for primers!!

this is insane! I have lots to read already and don't need a new fandom... who am I kidding, i'm going head first into this and there's no going back, I blame Fancake and that kidfic rec: Hockey RPF: "Enough to Crush Your Veins" by doctor_denmark

Sherlock

In the past few months i've rewatched sherlock series 1 like 3 or 4 times. Im adicted sooo very adicted, I've watched a scandal in belgravia a couple of times too.

I must confess I didn't like the hound of baskerville. And I've not been able to watch the falls without fast forwarding some parts. I guess it left me so shocked i just need to see the better times.

I want Sherlock back, I'm not above throwing a tantrum, not that I think it will make a difference, but it'll make me feel better.

Authors, please!!!! If you're going to keep to clichéd stereotypes at least write it right.

It's Colombia not Columbia. One's a country and the usual place where bad guys come from. The other is a state in the USA and nothing ever happens there.

my dog has Kennel Cough, which is basically dog flu, he makes this awful hacking noise and is miserable.
poor puppy and just 1 week before his yearly vaccine that helps prevent this
!

in other news someone stole my sony reader, I feel like crying, and also very very mad my cousin who lives in my house and has the advantage of living 7 minutes away from college brought a bunch of friends over to study and ooops what a coincidence that that same day my reader disappeared. If i can't leave my stuff flying around in my own apartment then what!!!
he tells me he never left the guys alone but my door is right besides the dining room, the door was wide open when I got home for lunch (which it never is because of the dog) and no one else was in the house.
yeah cousin it just vanished!!
I don't want an ipad (too big) I want my perfect for carrying everywhere in my purse sony reader!!!

so, I went and I voted, and maybe we can win best sci fi show but let's review something, best actor: 1 salvatore 2 winchesters, best villain 2 SPN 1 vampire, best non human 1 angel 1 brad colbert/eric northman/Alexander Skarsgard,(I'm sorry but my love for this man is higher than my love for Misha).
it's a little bit calculated to divide votes like that, I'm a completel JA fan but sam girls are out there so we're not winning that one, I liked Crowley better but I know many many fans prefer lucy and again, Alexander Skarsgard, sorry Misha...

So, we might not win the other categories but after the whole rescheduling fiasco and the confidence we must have after the tvguide cover win, I think at least the favorite sci fi category is ours!!

so go vote,  do your fandom proud!

Ifinally saw swan song and I must say I loved it. I was mostly unspoiled and I think that made a huge difference.
I really really liked season 5 and I know I'm a few months late but that's my take on it. I loved everything about it. Everything.

heartbroken

I need to write. I leave in a different city than my entire family. We are all very close. My mom has 10 siblings and they each have an average of 3 kids each (2 have 4 and 2 have 2) and now my younger cousin who's had. A drug problem for a long time is in a coma and everyone's over there and I'm working. Or at least trying to because I'm crying every 20 mins or so.
My older brother feels guilty because he convinced my aunt to pay for rehab and it was in there that something happened and now he's almost brain dead, I don't know. I told him it's not his fault. My cousin really needed help. I don't know whose fault it is but my boss just told me that sometimes in rehab the nurses are the ones that sell you drugs. So, I'm sad, heartbroken. I hope he pulls through. I'm praying. Does it work when you really don't believe in praying?

I'm at the airport and my flights been delayed. So im amusing myself by reading the mark reads harry potter blog. It's hilarious. And it's reminding me of how I got into HP and how much I still love it.
It wasn't my first (that would be Horatio Hornblower) but it was the one who introduced me to slash so yay.
Ok finally my plane is here. Bye!

Yesterday I was a soldier for a day. I cannot feel my legs, my back is killing me and I may loose my foot. But I had an amazing experience. It was great, we jumped from a 15 meter tower, fired a really big gun, did an obstacle court, marched with backpacks, got punished for not doing things right.
I have a new appreciation for what being a soldier is. Even though I had the extra light program, the yelling and the following orders the waking up at the crack of dawn. It's not for everyone.
I'm a huge GK fan and I got excited when I saw Brad's grenade launcher. Though I didn't get to use it.
So I'm in pain but I had fun. The people I went with were awesome and since it was in another city we got to stay in an amazing hotel and use the spa today. So all in all YAY!

BTW I ate an MRE it wasn't so bad but then again I won't have to eat them ever again!

Wimbledon

WHAT THE F.....
it was insane!!! the match was canceled yesterday and I wanted to know how it ended. just out of curiosity, I didn't even know the players, 7 hours and some later and it's still not over!!! the longest match ever!!!! and I'm glued to my computer wondering what's going on.
the stats:
Isner has 98 aces, Mahut 95 -- both eclipsing the previous high in a match at any tournament, (78). There have been 881 points, 612 in the fifth set. Isner has compiled 218 winners, Mahut 217. Isner has only 44 unforced errors, Mahut 37.
BTW Isner is 6'9, ESPN said 6'10 but I'm trusting ATP, he is a giant!!!!! can you imagine his hands? and he looks sooooo tired!!

I have to say I was getting very tired of tennis, every other final was the same, Federer/Nadal and I really don't like either so, taking into account that tennis is the only sport I follow, I try to watch some of the first matches in any tournament. I loved the beginning of the Federer/Falla match, I really thought he was going to win and it would have been the biggest upset ever!! but as usual in tennis he choked and that was it.
can't wait til tomorrow!!

baby blues

Or is it toddler blues?
I spent the weekend with my older brothers youngest son. He is amazing. I've never spent so much time with one of my nephews and I loved it. I think it's because he's soo much fun and nice and huggable. He comes out of nowhere gives me hug and a kiss and said I love you aunt. And he just kills me!!

He likes to sing, so I bought a cd of childrens songs and we would turn up the volume and go nuts!
He wanted to be with me all the time. He cried when I had to go to the store and didn't take him with me.
I think by the end of the weekend his mom might have been a little bit jealous.
I'm missing him.

I work 13 blocks away 4. My house and I usually don't take my car to work. But I was lazy this morning and it seemed like a good idea to dirve.
It was not.
A 20 min walk or 10 min if I took the bus that leaves me 2 bloks away became 45 min and counting.
To top it all off not one radio station is playing music. DJs talk too much crap and they are trying my patience.
